Arabian Travel Market 2025 to Showcase Booming Luxury Tourism Sector

The prestigious event in Dubai will highlight the latest trends and insights driving the growth of luxury tourism across the globe.

The Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025 is set to shine a spotlight on the rapidly growing luxury tourism sector when it returns to the Dubai World Trade Centre from April 28 to May 1.

The event will bring together world-renowned hospitality brands, industry leaders, and premium travel destinations, offering a comprehensive look at the latest trends shaping the high-end travel segment.

According to McKinsey and Company, luxury tourism is poised to grow at a rate faster than any other industry, with the global luxury tourism market projected to reach USD 391 billion by 2028, up from USD 239 billion in 2023.

This growth is driven by the rising number of high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) globally and an increasing segment of affluent travelers willing to spend more on exclusive experiences.

Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME for Arabian Travel Market, commented: “The growing wealth and inbound tourism from Asia present significant opportunities for Middle Eastern tourism, particularly in the luxury sector.

This year, we’re seeing a 27% increase in exhibitors from Asia, with destinations such as Japan, the Maldives, and India driving the region’s strong presence at ATM 2025.”

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is perfectly positioned to cater to the demand for luxury travel, with GCC countries on track to add 400,000 hotel rooms by 2030.

Luxury destinations such as the Maldives and Mauritius will be prominently featured at ATM 2025, alongside Peru, which will return to the event after a 10-year absence. Visitors will be able to explore unique offerings like luxury Amazon cruises, exclusive train journeys through the Andes, and luxury glamping experiences.

The rise in luxury travel preferences is also reflected in the growing focus on sustainability. Many hotels in the GCC are implementing eco-friendly initiatives to align with the increasing demand for responsible travel

The ATM 2025 Conference Programme will bring together leading hospitality executives and luxury travel experts, offering valuable insights into current and emerging trends. Key sessions include “Generational Trends Influencing Hyper-Personalization in Luxury” and “Retaining High-Net-Worth Travellers by Redesigning Their Experience.”
