APC Appoints Minister Yilwatda Nentawe as New National Chairman

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed Yilwatda Nentawe, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development, as the substantive National Chairman of the ruling party.

The appointment was made during the 14th NEC meeting held on Wednesday at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.

The motion to confirm Nentawe was moved by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, who also chairs the Progressive Governors’ Forum, and was seconded by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas.

Nentawe was immediately sworn in following the approval.

The development marks a significant leadership shift within the APC, as the party gears up for upcoming political realignments and governance strategies.

More updates are expected as the NEC meeting continues.
