Air Peace Limited has taken delivery of its third Embraer 190 aircraft, reinforcing its fleet expansion strategy and boosting operational capacity to meet increased travel demand during the festive season and beyond.
The Embraer 190-100 Advanced Range (AR) aircraft, with registration mark 5N-CFM, arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at exactly 3:13 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
Configured as a 99-seater, the aircraft features 11 Business Class seats and 88 Economy Class seats, offering passengers a balance of comfort, efficiency and reliability. The delivery marks the third Embraer 190 received by the airline within five months, underscoring its accelerated fleet modernisation drive.
Designed for performance and sustainability, the Embraer 190 AR is equipped with fuel-efficient engines that reduce carbon emissions. Its cabin features a 1-2 seating configuration in Business Class and a 2-2 layout in Economy Class, eliminating middle seats while providing improved legroom, quieter cabins and in-seat power sockets.
Speaking on the development, Air Peace Spokesperson, Mr Osifo-Whiskey Efe, described the aircraft’s arrival as timely and strategic.
“We are delighted to welcome this advanced aircraft into our ever-expanding fleet. The Embraer 190 AR is a modern, efficient and passenger-friendly aircraft that aligns perfectly with our operational goals,” Efe said.
He noted that the new aircraft will support additional flight frequencies on key domestic and regional routes during the festive period, improving schedule reliability, connectivity and easing pressure on high-traffic corridors.
According to the airline, the expanded fleet will translate into increased seat availability, greater scheduling flexibility and an enhanced travel experience for passengers during a peak period marked by heightened business, leisure and family travel.
Air Peace said the development reflects its broader commitment to deploying right-sized aircraft to serve both high-density and underserved routes efficiently, while maintaining service quality.
With a steadily growing and diverse fleet, the airline continues to strengthen its position in Nigeria’s aviation market, advancing its vision of improved connectivity, regional integration and reliable air travel across Africa.
