Air Peace Set to Launch Abuja–London Flights in October 2025

Nigeria’s leading airline strengthens international presence with new UK route and renewed travel industry partnerships.

Nigeria’s largest airline, Air Peace, is gearing up to launch direct flights from Abuja to London (Heathrow and Gatwick) on October 26 and 28, 2025. To prepare for this major expansion, the airline hosted a high-level Travel Partner Forum on Monday at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja. The event brought together top-performing travel agents, executives from the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA), and representatives from global travel tech leaders, Amadeus and Sabre.

Strategic Route Expansion

Air Peace’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Nowel Ngala, led a detailed presentation on the upcoming London route. He shared data-backed insights into its significance for Nigeria’s aviation industry and emphasized the vital role of travel partners in making it a success. An interactive Q&A session allowed stakeholders to discuss sales strategies, partnerships, and opportunities for growth in the international travel space.

In his goodwill message, Air Peace Chairman, Dr. Allen Onyema, thanked travel agents for their continued support, especially since the airline’s Lagos–London Gatwick launch in March 2024. He also highlighted Air Peace’s wider mission beyond aviation.

“We’re not just connecting cities. We’re creating jobs, developing talent, and driving Nigeria’s growth,” Onyema said, referencing the airline’s Graduate Trainee Programme, which has already empowered thousands of young Nigerians.

Added Perks for Travel Partners

To boost engagement, Air Peace announced that selected travel agents will receive complimentary seats on the inaugural Abuja–London flights. In addition, heavily discounted fares will be available during the route’s launch period.  Onyema noted: “Our Abuja brothers and sisters will not only experience this service firsthand but also enjoy massive savings.”

NANTA President, Mr. Yinka Folami, praised Air Peace for its resilience and investment in aviation infrastructure—particularly its ongoing MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facility in Lagos, which he called a “game-changer for Africa.”

Executives from Amadeus and Sabre also welcomed the expansion. They noted that integrating Air Peace into their global systems—serving over 55,000 agencies in 160+ countries—will boost visibility and bookings.

Driving Tourism, Jobs, and Economic Growth

The Abuja–London route is expected to ease travel for Nigerians, promote tourism, and strengthen UK-Nigeria ties. It also reinforces Air Peace’s position as a key driver of national development through aviation.

With both Lagos and Abuja now linked to London, Air Peace continues to deliver world-class service while showcasing Nigerian excellence on the global stage.
