The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says more than 6.2 million Nigerians have completed their online pre-registration for the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) in week six of the exercise.
According to figures published on INEC’s official X handle and website on Monday, a total of 6,232,673 pre-registrants were recorded between September 22 and 28, 2025. Of this number, 3,250,338 were female (52.15%), while 2,982,335 were male (47.85%).
Youths aged 18 to 34 continued to dominate the process, with 4,230,715 registrations, while students made up a significant portion with 1,565,824 entries. Persons with disabilities (PWDs) accounted for 137,865 registrations.
INEC also disclosed that in week five (September 22–26, 2025), 1,004,132 Nigerians completed both online and physical registrations. This included 537,743 online completions and 466,389 physical registrations.
The week five demographic breakdown showed 555,077 females (55.28%) and 449,055 males (44.72%), with youths accounting for 742,379 of the total. Students numbered 354,406, while PWDs stood at 13,987.
INEC noted that the surge reflects growing public enthusiasm ahead of future elections and assured Nigerians of its readiness to sustain transparent, inclusive, and technology-driven voter registration.
