Air Peace Expands Fleet with Arrival of Second Embraer 190

The airline plans to introduce new domestic routes, expand international operations, and deepen its regional presence, leveraging its growing fleet to redefine flying for Nigerians and beyond.

Nigeria’s largest carrier and West Africa’s aviation leader, Air Peace Limited, has taken another bold step in its expansion strategy with the arrival of its second Embraer 190 aircraft. The 96-seater jet, with registration 5N-CER, landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at 14:42 pm on Friday, September 25, 2025, further boosting the airline’s fleet strength and capacity to serve both domestic and regional markets.

The milestone follows closely on the heels of the airline’s first E190 delivery on June 22, 2025, underscoring Air Peace’s deliberate investment in modern, right-sized aircraft suited for Nigeria’s evolving aviation demands.

Built for efficiency and comfort, the Embraer 190 offers a 1-2 seating layout in premium economy and a 2-2 configuration in economy, delivering a quiet, spacious cabin with inflight entertainment and power outlets. The aircraft’s eco-friendly design enhances operational versatility, particularly for connecting underserved Nigerian destinations and strengthening regional links.

Air Peace spokesperson, Osifo-Whiskey Efe, confirmed that more Embraer aircraft are expected in 2026. “At Air Peace, fleet expansion is intentional—it aligns with our mission to make air travel more accessible, comfortable, and seamless. The Embraer 190 is the perfect fit for our domestic and regional operations, ensuring reliable service while optimizing efficiency and passenger experience,” she said.

With a fleet of over 40 aircraft, Air Peace continues to lead Nigeria’s aviation sector as the only airline consistently scaling its fleet and route network. The addition of its second E190 cements its role as a pioneer in fleet modernization and regional connectivity, while advancing its mission to connect cities, unite communities, and contribute to national and continental development.

Looking ahead, the airline plans to introduce new domestic routes, expand international operations, and deepen its regional presence, leveraging its growing fleet to redefine flying for Nigerians and beyond.
